September 28, 2015

This week was a super eventful week!!! We had a great preparation day on the bikes because the car was still in the shop. then we tried a few of our investigators.

Tuesday: WE were able to get our car back!!And then we had a good day of teaching with the hermanas again!! they are fun to work with! I'm gonna miss them! Then we met with a less active member! I'm really gonna miss her!

Wednesday: we had our last district meeting of this transfer! so we had district lunch and district picture! I loved this district! they were a lot of fun! Then we were able to have an amazing lesson with this less actives boy! he was super sweet! his name was Dakota!! he is a super sweet kid! has a lot of concerns for his family and he is trying to be that good example and he is only 7 years old! Then we had dinner with a member, then we had mutual! we played a card game prophet or princess! it was a fun game!

Thursday: we had weekly planning, we were able to plan for our investigators we also were able to try and meet with our investigators in carrollton! none were home. so we went out to Sanders and met with a couple of less actives.

Friday: we spent a lot of driving around trying refferrals we received from the system. and meeting with less active members.

Saturday: we helped a less active by mowing her lawn but when she went out to get gas for the lawn mower and the weed wacker she had locked her keys inside her house! haha so Elder Stevens had to kick her door in so we could get into her house!! it was pretty awesome!!! highlight of the day! Then we set up the church for sunday. then we also went out and tried people but none were home or the ignored us!!! it was depressing but oh well. its apart of missionary work. oh I also got a phone call from my district leader saying that I would be getting transferred from this area! :(

Sunday : we had a great Fast and testimony meeting! I got up and bore my testimony and told the branch that I would be getting transferred! So I got pictures with all of the members here!! we had a member feed us lunch! well dinner, then we went out and celebrated a birthday party with another family and they fed us cake and ice cream! I'm really gonna miss everyone here!!! I have really bonded with them all! they are like my family! but we had a chance to try more investigators but all of our appointments fell through!

This week I learned that no matter how hard to try things may not always turn out the way you want, but no hard work is wasted! so as we work hard at what we need to be doing we will be blessed in his timing!

This week was a super crazy week filled with a lot of ups and a lot of downs. We had decided to let Elder Stevens lead our the days and while he was leading out we were able to find a lot of awesome people! And we were able to set a baptismal date yesterday! I felt super off all week, was kind of lost but by Friday I was able to pull it back together, and the week ended amazing! We spent most of our time talking things out trying to work different things out between one another! But we were able to fix it all, Wednesday was a great day we had district meeting! I learned a lot! We also were able to meet with some of our investigators in Bedford and contact some referrals! Then we had a super spiritual experience as we went out with our branch president and introduced him to some of the less active members we have been meeting with. And we had an awesome experience with both of them! One of them asked me to give her the blessing! I have grown so close to the people here! This is a very amazing place! On Thursday we had an awesome lesson with the Hermanas as they handed an investigator off to us! Then on Friday we were able to have a very spiritual lesson with one of the people we have with a baptismal date! We read from the Book of Mormon! Saturday we biked all day and we biked all day everyday after Wednesday because we had to drop our car off to the body shop to get fixed! So we spent a lot of time on the bikes! Then Sunday we had a miracle happen! So we were sitting in church and we were rearranging the walls so we could split up into classes and the old branch president came up to us and said um here is a guy that just walked in and I think he should talk to yall. So we pulled the guy aside into a different room and we were able to meet this guy! So he said he tried stopping by here the other day but it was closed so we came on Sunday and we met with him! He is one of Heavenly Fathers prepared child! We were able to get to know him and set up an appointment with him later on this day and when we came back for our appointment at 5 he was sitting there, he got there early to the Church and we had an amazing lesson 1 with him! He understood it and he had some amazing questions! And the first question he asked after we had finished the lesson is when can I go out teaching the gospel with you guys?! And we were like after you have been baptized and become a member, and then he goes well when can I be baptized!? And we set up a baptismal date with him right there! Then after the lesson Elder Stevens remembered his prayer the night before he specifically asked for someone to be placed in our path! And this was an answer to many prayers! It was amazing! Then on the way home  I threw my back out riding my bike! But our week ended really well!

It just goes to show that as you wait and have patience and faith that the lord will bless you! So always keep your head up because you've always got Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ on your side!

Friday: we had zone meeting! learned a lot! It was a super great meeting!! we then went and had a lesson with two of our investigators and we were able to set a baptismal date with them!!! Then we went and ate dinner with a member, then we went for another appointment and they weren't home...

Saturday: We had weekly planning we were able to achieve a lot with that!! Then we were able to meet with two of our less active members here!

Sunday: we had an amazing sacrament meeting! the talks were all on Charity! Then we biked around this afternoon trying to find people to teach. Didn't have much luck!

Even though when times seem hard and you are trying your hardest and you are doing all you know how to do, and you still aren't seeing a whole lot coming out of it as long as we are doing our best and doing all we can we will be blessed in his timing. but we will eventually.

We played kick ball with the youth!

Then we continued talking with everyone, and saw some less actives.

Saturday: we tried some former investigators and some potential investigators, and biked and talking to everyone we saw and we visited some less actives. We also had a huge wind and thunder storm this night!

Sunday: it got up to 103 degrees! It had a heat index of 115 this week! With humidity up in the upper 90s it was freaking hot! And we spent it on a bike! We had a great fast and testimony meeting! Then we tried more potentials and saw some less  actives.

I learned this week at as we are diligent and humble and patient that the lord will bless us and reveal unto us the blessings he wishes to give us!

Love you all and miss you!
